Commission : Elezia, the Fencer

I finally make it !!

That was hard, and I had to re-did my first illustration because I hated it, but now it's done.

Elezia was a commission for my dear Kanachi and his board game: Swords of the Seven.

When I read her story I decided to paint her when she realize that she has to kill her father.

I hope you'll like it, I work very hard on it. (Lights are completely unrealistic on this painting and this is intentionnal. I wanted to symbolize the choice of Elezia between light and darkness.)

Here the story of the character :

Elezia was the adopted daughter of Count Vlad Von’Cleath who took her in as a child many years earlier, schooling her in the ways of the sword so she could assist in protecting him from many would-be assassins.

Rumours often circled that the Vlad was in fact a vampire who feasted upon the blood neighbouring townsfolk yet Elezia, blinded by her devotion to her father, always rejected such claims. It was not until she followed him one night and witnessed his actions first hand that she saw him for the monster he truly was.

She confronted him, attempting to find some reason within his heart but instead found only his fury. The two duelled for many hours that night but Elezia was ultimately unable to defeat him, however fortune smiled upon her and before Vlad could deliver the fatal blow the dawning sun drove him away.

Elezia has fruitlessly pursued her adopted father ever since, striking down similar evildoers where possible, as a sword for hire!
